What is an Authorization?

An Authorization represents a Product that is linked to your Tick2Tick account and available for you to use for a specific duration and/or usage amount.

Authorizations can be activated through:

  • A Free Trial, or
  • A purchase

Usage‑based Authorizations

Some Products operate on a usage‑based model.
This means you purchase usage credits, which allow you to use the Product a certain number of times or for a specific measurable amount.

Each Authorization also has an expiration date.
If you do not use your remaining credits before the expiration date, they become locked and inaccessible until you make another purchase.

Why this system exists:
It ensures that as usage‑based Products evolve, we can maintain fair pricing and consistent value.

Whenever you purchase additional usage credits for a Product:

  • Your remaining (locked) balance becomes unlocked
  • The newly purchased credits are added on top

Usage‑based Authorizations for Statistics Products

Statistics Products use Statistics Trade Credits (STCs).

  • 1 STC = the ability to simulate and calculate 1 Trade

In the Usage‑Based Authorizations table, you can see:

  • How many STCs you currently have for each Statistics Product
  • When those STCs will expire

Click See STC Log to view the detailed usage history of your STCs.

Statistics Trade Credit log page

To view your STC log, open the Statistics Trade Credit Log page following this link.

You can also access it from the Dashboard:

  • Desktop: Click the profile icon in the top‑right corner.
  • Mobile: Tap the menu icon, then tap the profile icon.

From the dropdown menu, select STC Log.

Overview

This page shows all activity related to your Statistics Trade Credits (STCs).
It helps you understand:

  • How many STCs each Statistics Request consumed
  • When STCs were refunded for Signals that did not result in a Trade
  • How discounted STC usage works for Fine‑Tuned Statistics Requests

Keep track of your usage

The table displays:

  • When your STC balance changed
  • Why it changed
  • How much it changed by
  • Your remaining STC balance for each Statistics Product

Types of STC log entries

  • Added Credits after successful payment
You purchased STCs, and they were added to your balance.

  • Deducted Credits for a Statistics Request
You uploaded a Statistics Request, and STCs were deducted based on the number of Signals included.

  • Deducted discounted Credits for Fine‑Tuning
You uploaded a Fine‑Tune of an already processed Statistics Request.
Fine‑Tuning uses fewer STCs due to discounted pricing.

  • Refunded (discounted) Credits for Signals with no Entry
In line with our values, we only charge for Signals that become Trades.
If a Signal does not result in a Trade during simulation, the corresponding STCs are refunded.
